St. Helens won against Stayton last Wednesday with 12 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Thursday. St. Helens always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .552. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Banks only posted an OBP of .400.
St. Helens' record is now 3-0. As for Banks, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought as St. Helens Lions face off against Redmond Panthers at 10:00 a.m. on Monday. As for Banks, they will challenge Yamhill-Carlton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
