La Joya was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight  loss  dating back to last season. They lost  64-41 to the Clark Cougars. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Coyotes of the  56-34 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture  back in November of 2023.
 La Joya lost  despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being   Aydin Wilder-Bey, who  went 5 for 10 en route to 12 points. Another player making a difference was  Daniel Trevino, who  earned ten points along with three  steals.
 Even though they lost, La Joya  smashed the offensive glass and  finished the game with ten  offensive rebounds. That's the most  offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
  Andrew Vidouria was a one-man wrecking crew for Clark as he  went 6 for 10 en route to 18 points. The team also got some help courtesy of  Jaden Flemons, who  posted eight points plus seven  rebounds and five  assists.
 La Joya's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Clark, the  victory for them keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.
 Coincidentally,  both  will both be playing Bridgeland the next time they take the court. Clark will head out to face Bridgeland at 7:30  p.m.  on Thursday, while La Joya will head out to face them  at 12:00  p.m.  on Friday.
