Biloxi (Miss.) grabbed the lead when
Danny Lewis ran for a touchdown with 10:00 remaining in the fifth quarter and held on to beat
Ocean Springs (Miss.) 31-27 on Saturday. The score was the final lead change in a back-and-forth contest that featured three lead swaps.
After trailing 10-7 at the half, the Greyhounds went ahead on a touchdown with 3:00 left in the fourth.
Biloxi grew its lead to 10 points entering the fourth quarter. BHS scored once in the quarter on a touchdown run by
Devoriae Martin.
Ocean Springs came in giving up 8.8 points per game this season. OS struggled against Biloxi's offense, who entered the game scoring 41.7 points per game.
The win was a nice bounce back for Biloxi, which lost to Hattiesburg last week, 14-3. The victory snapped Biloxi's two-game losing streak.
Ocean Springs (4-3) will play a 6A Region 4 game against Harrison Central next week, while Biloxi (4-3) will take on St. Martin also in a 6A Region 4 game.
