After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Ray, King was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They skirted past the Alice Coyotes 3-1. This was a revenge game for the Mustangs: when they faced off against the Coyotes back in March, they had to take a 2-0 defeat.

Marco Barrera was excellent, going 3-for-4 with two RBI and one double. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March.

King's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-19-1. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.3 runs over those games. As for Alice, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-15-1.

Coming up, King will welcome Flour Bluff at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. The Hornets' pitching crew has only allowed 3.6 runs per game this season, so the Mustangs' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Alice, they will challenge Corpus Christi Moody at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
