With a big week,
East Hampton jumped into the top 25 in the state rankings. East Hampton moved up from No. 82 in the state all the way to No. 19 thanks to a 4-0 record over the past week. Led by manager Scott Wosleger, the Bellringers are ranked No. 2,821 in the nation with an overall record of 18-10.
The Bellringers had a successful week, as they won four total games to lead Shoreline - Small. East Hampton beat
Stafford 3-0,
St. Paul Catholic 1-0 and the Bulldogs 3-0.
Portland's pitching was especially stingy this week, allowing ten hits and three walks to lead the league in both categories.
The league boasted five .400 hitters over the past week. Leading the pack was Ronnie Oldham, who hit .714 by going 5-for-7.
Sam Grigo stayed on top of the league with a .406 average this year after hitting .429 this week for
Westbrook.
