The Coastal Christian Centurions's four-game losing streak came to an end on Tuesday. They walked away with a 64-52 win over John Paul II Catholic. The victory was just what Coastal Christian needed coming off of a 79-33 loss in their prior game.
Aidan Davies continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 28 points. The team also got some help courtesy of George Robertson, who scored 14 points.
Several Saints players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Caleb Knight, who scored 17 points. Another player making a difference was Kyle Watkins, who scored 13 points.
Coastal Christian's victory bumped their record up to 10-11. As for John Paul II Catholic, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost six of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-10 record this season.
Coastal Christian will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Epiphany at 6:30 p.m. Epiphany is no doubt hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses. As for John Paul II Catholic, they will head out on the road to square off against Cape Fear Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Cape Fear Academy is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 52.7 points per game.
