The Birdville Hawks pushed their score all the way to 72 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell to Grapevine  77-72. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Birdville came into the  matchup with a sizable advantage  in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings  (they are ranked 123rd, while Grapevine is ranked 550th).
 It was another big night for  David Coe, who  scored 37 points along with seven  assists and six  rebounds for Grapevine. As a matter of fact, that's the most points  Coe has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of  Matthew E woodcock, who  dropped  a double-double on 12 points and 12  rebounds.
 Birdville's defeat  ended a four-game streak of away wins  and  brought them to 14-9. As for Grapevine, their victory  ended a five-game drought at home  and  bumped them up to 9-17.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Birdville will  take on Denton at 7:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Denton is out to stop a four-game streak of losses at home. As for Grapevine, they will head out on the road to  take on  Ryan at 7:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Ryan will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
