The Milford Eagles are taking a road trip to face off against the Adams Central Patriots at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Milford has given up an average of 25.8 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.
Milford is headed into the game out to prove that what happened against Aurora on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Eagles had to suffer through a 49-14 loss at the hands of the Huskies. The Eagles have struggled against the Huskies recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Despite their defeat, Milford saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Connor Adams, who picked up 98 receiving yards and two scores, was perhaps the best of all. Adams got the majority of those receiving yards when he pulled down a pass and took off for a gain of 50 yards. Milford also got a significant boost from Zane Wittstruck, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 99 yards.
Meanwhile, Adams Central came up short against Lincoln Christian on Friday and fell 28-20. While the Patriots had to settle for second, they closed the game well in the third quarter, where they outscored the Crusaders 14-0.
Like Milford, Adams Central lost despite seeing results from several players. Wilson Huyser led the charge by picking up 54 receiving yards and one TD, while also rushing for 31 yards.
Adams Central's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Milford, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-3.
Friday's contest might be decided in the trenches. Milford has been excellent on the ground this season, having averaged 158.9 rushing yards per game. It's a different story for Adams Central, though, as they've been averaging only 70.2 rushing yards. How will they fare against such a dominant running game?
Everything went Milford's way against Adams Central in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as Milford made off with a 28-8 victory. In that matchup, the Eagles amassed a halftime lead of 21-0, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
