Arlington Christian put another one in the bag on Monday to keep their perfect season alive. They strolled past the Central Christian Crusaders with points to spare, taking the game 67-49. Given Arlington Christian's advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 171st, while Central Christian is ranked 486th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Arlington Christian's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Chezi Essel led the charge by dropping a double-double on ten points and 14 rebounds. With that strong performance, Essel is now averaging an impressive 8.5 boards per game. Tylon Adams was another key player, going 9 of 15 on his way to 19 points and four steals.

Arlington Christian was working as a unit and finished the game with 18 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Central Christian only posted seven assists.

Despite the defeat, Central Christian had strong showings from Rocky Steidinger, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 16 boards, and Jonathan Cook, who posted 12 points and seven rebounds. Steidinger is on a roll when it comes to boards, as he's now pulled down 11 or more in the last 17 games he's played dating back to last season.

Arlington Christian's victory was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-0. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.9 points per game. As for Central Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-5.

Arlington Christian wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 60-55 win against Trinity Christian on the 4th. As for Central Christian, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 70-35 victory against Lafayette Christian on the 5th.
