The Kenwood Knights will take on the Springfield Yellow Jackets at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Kenwood is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 4 goals per game this season.

Kenwood took a six-goal loss the last time they faced off against Northwest, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Knights skirted past the Vikings 2-1. While Kenwood didn't have the best season last year (they finished 4-9-1), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Tumaini Murokore and Kyle Hunter scored both of Kenwood's goals, bringing their combined season tally to eight goals.

Meanwhile, Springfield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to Kirkwood.

Springfield's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Kenwood, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-1.

Kenwood couldn't quite get it done against Springfield in their previous meeting back in March of 2024 as they fell 2-0. Can the Knights avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
