The Pikes Peak Christian Eagles can now show off nine landslide victories after their most recent match on Friday. They blew past Hanover 68-44. The win was nothing new for Pikes Peak Christian as they're now sitting on five straight.
Pikes Peak Christian was led to victory by Isaiah Wehner and Eddie Harmon. Wehner dropped a double-double on 14 points and 13 rebounds, while Harmon scored 19 points along with nine rebounds and five steals. Wehner also posted two+ blocks for the first time this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Trevor Roney, who scored ten points along with six steals.
Despite the loss, Hanover still got an impressive performance from Junior Diaz, who scored 22 points along with six rebounds and two blocks. That's the first time this season that Diaz posted two or more blocks. Another player making a difference was Kaiden Parker, who scored five points along with two steals.
Pikes Peak Christian has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season. As for Hanover, they dropped their record down to 4-7 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pikes Peak Christian will challenge Elbert at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Elbert is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 54.5 points per game. Hanover on the road again on Thursday and play against Kim/Branson at 5:00 p.m. on February 1st. Kim/Branson is coming into the game hot, having won their last five games.
