  Addison Hemmer and  Olivia Chandler were among the main playmakers for Elk River as the former  had nine  digs and the latter  had ten  digs.
 Meanwhile, Buffalo was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Thursday as the team picked up their 12th straight  loss  dating back to last season. They came up short against  Minnetonka, falling  3-0.
 Elk River has  been performing  well recently as they've  won three of their last four contests,  which provided a nice bump to their 6-13 record  this season. As for Buffalo, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-10.
