Summerville hasn't had much luck against Calaveras recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Bears will venture away from home to square off against the Red Hawks at 4:00 p.m. Summerville will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each match than the last.
While Summerville's win against Riverbank wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Bears narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Bruins 12-11. The Bears haven't had any issues with the Bruins recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Calaveras, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 9-3 margin over Bret Harte on Thursday. The Red Hawks might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five games by six runs or more this season.
Like Summerville, Calaveras also got a great game from a two-way player: Kamryn Thornburg. On the mound, she struck out 12 batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off four hits (and only one walk). Thornburg has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts any time she's pitched this season. She was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with one double.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Kendra Baechler, who went 1-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one stolen base. Alexa Ortega was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.
Calaveras kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Bret Harte only managed four hits.
