The biggest upset of the week belonged to Turner, who took down 105th ranked Basehor-Linwood, 28-22. PAUL BERRY threw for 28 yards and one touchdown, ran for 203 yards and caught one passes for 21 yards in the win.
Piper extended the longest winning streak in Kaw Valley this week by beating Lansing, 21-14. The win marks fourth in a row for the the Pirates.
Tyler Ford provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Tonganoxie bested Bishop Ward. He completed 14 passes for 317 yards and two touchdowns and also ran for 82 yards. Ford's favorite target this week was Shane Levy, who caught six passes for 173 yards.
SKLER WINDMILLER put up the best numbers through the air as Mill Valley defeated Bonner Springs. He finished with a total of 17 completions for 266 yards and six touchdowns. WINDMILLER's favorite target this week was L.J. HATCH, who caught four passes for 138 yards.
The Jaguars' WINDMILLER and HATCH have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. WINDMILLER has thrown for 1117 yards this season, while HATCH, a 6-foot-0 receiver, has 19 catches for 438 yards. Drew Potter from the Bobcats leads the league in rushing with 565 yards.
The top two teams in the league will face off this week when first place Piper takes on second place Mill Valley. Piper topped the Lions last week, while Mill Valley beat the Braves.
The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when Joel Applebee's team takes on Chris Brindle's team. The Jaguars have allowed 68 points this season, while the Pirates have given up 97. Mill Valley allowed 12 points last week as it bested Bonner Springs.
The Jaguars took down Lucas Aslin's team 49-12 last week, the largest margin of any game. WINDMILLER ran for 79 yards in the win.
