Brooks is 3-0 against Haleyville since November of 2020, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Brooks Lions will head out on the road to face off against the Haleyville Lions at 6:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Tuesday, Brooks was beaten by Mars Hill Bible 73-21. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Brooks has scored all season.
Meanwhile, Haleyville's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their third straight loss. They were outmatched by Colbert County at home and fell 64-19.
This is the second loss in a row for Brooks and nudges their season record down to 2-10. As for Haleyville, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season.
Brooks came out on top in a nail-biter against Haleyville in their previous matchup back in January, sneaking past 60-58. The rematch might be a little tougher for Brooks since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
