Christian Hodges was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Eli Vascura, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.
Tree of Life Christian always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .625. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Liberty Christian Academy only posted an OBP of .214.
Meanwhile, Granville Christian Academy put another one in the bag on Monday to keep their perfect season alive. Everything went their way against Delaware Christian as they made off with an 11-1 victory. Fans of Granville Christian Academy have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 6+ runs.
Bentley Johnson made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out eight over four innings pitched. Johnson was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring four runs and stealing four bases while going 2-for-3. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 1.7 stolen bases per game.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jacob Fabbro, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3. He also put up a double, which was his first of the season. Aidan Rhoads was another key player, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 1-for-2.
Tree of Life Christian now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Granville Christian Academy, their record is now 4-0.
Thursday's matchup might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Tree of Life Christian has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .546. However, it's not like Granville Christian Academy struggles in that department as they've averaged .500. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
