The South Callaway Bulldogs can now show off four landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Friday. They claimed a resounding 78-36 victory over Fayette at home. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 46-10.
Fayette's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kaleb Friebe, who scored 15 points along with five steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Carter Vroman, who scored six points.
Fayette struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only three offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
South Callaway is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a massive bump to their 8-5 record this season. As for Fayette, they dropped their record down to 2-10 with that defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road.
South Callaway will take on New Bloomfield at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully New Bloomfield focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 on Friday. Fayette will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Salisbury at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Salisbury presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Fayette in Missouri (Salisbury is ranked 80th, while Fayette is ranked 490th).
