The Lake Havasu Knights will challenge the Ironwood Eagles at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday. Lake Havasu is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.2 runs per game this season.
Lake Havasu is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 16 runs last Tuesday, they were much more limited against Willow Canyon on Thursday. They fell 6-2 to the Wildcats.
Landen Nigg was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out ten over five innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.

Meanwhile, Ironwood made easy work of Kellis on Tuesday and carried off a 12-4 victory. The win continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Cougars: they've now won three in a row.

Those 12 strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-5 with three stolen bases, five RBI, and one run.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Max Schattner, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with four stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. Those four stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Bo Coleman, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.
Ironwood's victory bumped their record up to 6-14. As for Lake Havasu, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-8.
Ironwood's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Lake Havasu hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .316.
