The Mount de Sales Academy Sailors have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matches by 25 points or more this season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Wednesday as they easily beat Annapolis Area Christian 56-19 at home. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Mount de Sales Academy.
It was another big night for Shelby Lewis, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 13 rebounds. Those 13 rebounds set a new season-high mark for her. Another player making a difference was Mackenzie Conley, who scored six points along with eight steals and seven assists.
Mount de Sales Academy has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. As for Annapolis Area Christian, they now have a losing record at 1-2.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mount de Sales Academy will take on Gerstell Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Gerstell Academy is coming into the matchup on a five-game losing streak. As for Annapolis Area Christian, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Park School at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Park School comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 25 points in their last three games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
