For the first time this season, Lake Havasu will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will welcome the Centennial Coyotes at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Lake Havasu's pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They blew past Mohave 10-0. The win continues a trend for the Knights in their matchups with the Thunderbirds: they've now won five in a row.
Brock Cross made a splash while hitting and pitching. He pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and one double.
In other pitching news, Landen Nigg looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out six over four innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up a single earned run in four consecutive appearances.

Back at the plate, Colton Rohn was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-3. He has been hot recently, having posted three or more hits the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Braden Towning, who scored two runs and stole three bases while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.
Meanwhile, Centennial won against Arcadia on Tuesday with 17 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Monday. Centennial put the hurt on Chaparral with a sharp 17-3 victory. With that win, the Coyotes brought their scoring average up to 6.5 runs per game.
Like Lake Havasu, Centennial also got a great game from a two-way player: Cohen Baack. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over five innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off four hits. That's the most strikeouts Baack has posted since back in February. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on JT Price, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, seven RBI, and three runs. That's the most hits he has posted since back in February. Another player making a difference was William Strand, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and one double.
Centennial was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .556. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Chaparral only posted a batting average of .222.
Centennial pushed their record up to 6-7 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. A key ingredient in that success has been their performance when it comes to hits: they averaged an imposing 10.71 hits in those games compared to only 5.11 in the others. As for Lake Havasu, their win bumped their record up to 10-3.
