We've got a battle between Tigers coming up. The two teams are strolling into their contests after big wins in their previous games.
Saltillo is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They blew past Olive Branch 14-1 on Tuesday. The Tigers not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since March 28, 2024.
Meri Campbell Davis made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 1-for-3. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in RBI (two).

In other batting news, Chloe Skelton was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April of 2024. Cella Dye was another key player, scoring three runs while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.
Saltillo hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now struck out at most four strikeouts in three consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Nettleton waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with 11 straight wins... but they left with 12. They never let the Bulldogs get on the board and left with a 13-0 victory. The Tigers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six contests by seven runs or more this season.
Kennice Finnie was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits over four innings pitched. What's more, she gave up only zero earned runs, the fewest she's had since back in February. She was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 1-for-3.
In other batting news, Nettleton got a massive performance out of Zion Seals, who scored two runs while going 2-for-2. Another player making a difference was Chloe Humble, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-1.
Nettleton pushed their record up to 14-1-1 with the win, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Saltillo, their win bumped their record up to 5-6-1.
