The Madison Park Academy Trojan-Warriors had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 17.8 points), and they went ahead and made it five on Tuesday. They took down Life Academy 59-41. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Madison Park Academy also won the last time the pair played last Friday.
It was another big night for Darius Mason, who dropped a triple-double on 26 points, 30 rebounds, and ten blocks. That makes it five consecutive games in which he has scored at least 25% of Madison Park Academy's points. Another player making a difference was Josiah Suddath, who scored eight points along with seven rebounds.
Madison Park Academy pushed their record up to 9-1 with that victory, which was their eighth straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.8 points per game. As for Life Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Madison Park Academy won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Sierra at 6:00 p.m. on December 20th. Life Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Oakland Charter at 4:30 p.m. on January 12, 2024.
