Juab is 9-1 against North Sanpete since February of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Juab Wasps will head out on the road to square off against the North Sanpete Hawks at 7:00 p.m. Given that both teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.
Last Tuesday, things could have been worse for Juab, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 60-46 loss to Carbon. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Juab in their matchups with Carbon: they've now lost five in a row.
The match pitted two key players against one another: Ava Cuff and Amiah Timothy. Timothy had a great game and scored 17 points along with seven assists and four steals. Meanwhile, Cuff did her best for the losing side, scoring 12 points.
Meanwhile, North Sanpete's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fifth straight loss. They took a 46-39 hit to the loss column at the hands of Canyon View.
Juab's loss dropped their record down to 11-7. As for North Sanpete, they dropped their record down to 6-12 with that loss, which was their fifth straight on the road.
Juab took their win against North Sanpete when the teams last played back in December of 2023 by a conclusive 51-26. The rematch might be a little tougher for Juab since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
