Softball Recap: Wednesday's Victory Is Redondo Union's Tenth in Last 12 Outings

There's no place like home for Redondo Union, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Wiseburn- Da Vinci Wolves a 10-0 shutout on Wednesday. The Sea Hawks might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven contests by eight runs or more this season.

Maika Dumas was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March. Linnea Rasmussen was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one RBI.

Redondo Union always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .533. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Wiseburn- Da Vinci only posted an OBP of .211.

Redondo Union has been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.2 runs over those games. As for Wiseburn- Da Vinci, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-7.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Redondo Union is set to face off against their familiar foe Peninsula at 3:15 p.m. on May 2. Meanwhile, Wiseburn- Da Vinci will square off against rival Mira Costa at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
