There's no place like home for Clinton County, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They put the hurt on the York Institute Dragons with a sharp 7-1 victory on Thursday. The Bulldogs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven games by six runs or more this season.
Caleb Thrasher made a splash while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run while striking out 12 over six innings pitched. Clinton County is undefeated when Thrasher posts eight or more strikeouts, but 7-9 otherwise. Thrasher was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one run and one double. That's the most hits he has posted since April 1st.
In other batting news, Austin Arms was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double. Another player making a difference was Drake Thrasher, who went 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
Clinton County's win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 10-9. As for York Institute, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 14-10.
