Last Thursday, KIPP didn't have too much trouble with Hancock at home as they won 43-24. 43 seems to be a good number for KIPP as the squad scooped up a win with the same number of points in their previous game.
Jameka Garrett was her usual excellent self, scoring 22 points along with six steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of KIPP's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jalil Oliver, who scored three points along with 14 rebounds.
Miller Career Academy posted their biggest victory yet this season on Thursday. They beat Confluence Prep Academy/Grand Center Arts Academy by the very same score they won with last week: 62-23. The win made it back-to-back wins for Miller Career Academy.
KIPP is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season. As for Miller Career Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 4-12.
