Hatton suffered their biggest defeat since March 8th on Thursday. They lost 13-6 to the Lexington Golden Bears. The Hornets' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Bryson Jeffreys was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances. Jalen Heaps was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two RBI and one double.

Hatton's defeat dropped their record down to 13-8. As for Lexington, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-10 record this season.

Hatton didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 4-2 loss against Gadsden City on the 22nd. As for Lexington, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, an 18-2 defeat against West Limestone on the 21st.
