It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact International Studies can now relate to. They had to suffer through a rough 64-12 loss at the hands of the Dragons. The loss means International Studies is still on the hunt for the season's first 'W'.
Pinecrest Glades Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ronnie Rivero led the charge by scoring 25 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Rivero has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Miguel Diaz, who scored 11 points along with six assists and five steals.
International Studies' defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 0-12. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 17.7 points per game. As for Pinecrest Glades Academy, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-4.
International Studies does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Pinecrest Glades Academy will face off against the Sharks at TBD on Tuesday. Divine Savior Academy has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 545 points over their last seven games.
