It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Young Men's Leadership Academy can now relate to. They took a serious blow against Navarro on Friday, falling 48-0. While losing is never fun, Young Men's Leadership Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 816th, while Navarro is ranked 308th).
It was another big night for Antwoin Mebane, who rushed for 131 yards and two touchdowns on only eight carries. Mebane was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 68 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Diego Chapa, who picked up 60 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Young Men's Leadership Academy now has a losing record at 5-6. As for Navarro, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-3.
Young Men's Leadership Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Navarro is on the road again on Friday and play against Port Isabel. Port Isabel is coming into the game hot, having won their last seven games.
