On Friday, The St. David Tigers faced the Hayden Lobos in a battle between two of the state's top teams. St. David was dealt a 68-0 loss at the hands of Hayden. Having soared to a lofty 44 points in the game before, St. David couldn't push the score so high this time.
Roman Tilton threw for 175 yards on 11 of 28 attempts. Gannon Carrafa was his top target, picking up 95 receiving yards.
Hayden got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Paul Gaither out in front who threw for 176 yards and four touchdowns while completing 72.7% of his passes. Hayden also got a significant boost from Kino Lorona, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 83 yards.
St. David's loss dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Hayden, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 10-0.
St. David does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Hayden is on the road again on Friday and play against El Capitan/Centennial Academy at 7:00 p.m. on November 3rd. One thing working in El Capitan/Centennial Academy's favor is that they have now posted big point totals in their last three matchups.
