Kaison Howard turned in yet another pitching appearance with more than nine strikeouts on Tuesday. He turned in his biggest game of the season, striking out 12 batters over 6.2 innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off five hits. He is becoming a predictor of Starks's success: when he posts at least eight strikeouts the team is undefeated (and 1-9 when he doesn't).

Howard's strong effort led Starks over South Cameron and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
