Softball Recap: Joshua Has No Trouble Against Mansfield Timberview

Joshua was handed a heart-breaking two-run loss in their last match, but they sure didn't let that happen against Mansfield Timberview on Saturday. Joshua was the clear victor by a 20-8 margin over Mansfield Timberview. Considering the Owls have won six contests by more than 11 runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Joshua has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-10 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.8 runs over those games. This is the second loss in a row for Mansfield Timberview and nudges their season record down to 4-4.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Joshua is set to take on their familiar foe Cleburne at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Mansfield Timberview will square off against rival Everman at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
