Sundance kicked off their season on the road on Friday and hit a couple of potholes. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Scottsbluff Bearcats.
Sundance's offense was headlined by Hailey Karol and Jaylin Mills, who picked up six kills apiece. They got some help from Annika Haugen and her 15 assists.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Scottsbluff to victory, but perhaps none more so than Alainah Salas, who had 18 digs and two assists. That's the most digs Salas has posted since back in September of 2024. Lillian Hays was another key player, getting 17 assists and nine digs.
Coincidentally, Sundance and Scottsbluff will both be playing Glenrock the next time they take the court. The Bearcats will head out to face the Herders at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Bulldogs will play them later in the day, at 3:00 p.m.
