The East Pennsboro Panthers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Waynesboro Indians at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Waynesboro took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on East Pennsboro, who comes in off a win.
Last Friday, East Pennsboro narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Susquehanna Township 31-28. The victory made it back-to-back wins for East Pennsboro.
East Pennsboro's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Keith Oates iii, who threw for 206 yards and two touchdowns, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. Oates iii hasn't dropped below sixsolo tackles for six straight games. Another player making a difference was Jj Gossard, who gained 116 total yards and two touchdowns.
Meanwhile, Waynesboro's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 27-0 loss at the hands of Shippensburg. Having soared to a lofty 31 points in the game before, Waynesboro couldn't push the score so high this time.
East Pennsboro's victory bumped their record up to 8-1. As for Waynesboro, their loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their overall record down to 2-7.
East Pennsboro couldn't quite finish off Waynesboro in their previous meeting back in October of 2022 and fell 13-10. Will East Pennsboro have more luck at home instead of on the road?
