Freedom's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They blew past Unity Reed 22-0. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Lions recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Annalisa Wenger was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in strikeouts (four). She was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with two runs.
In other batting news, Freedom got a massive performance out of McKenzie Powell, who fired off two home runs, seven RBI, and three runs while going 3-for-3. Those two home runs gave Powell a new career-high. Ashleigh Bronowicz was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, four runs, and four RBI.
Freedom always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .944. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in three consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Osbourn came up short against Patriot on Friday, falling 21-5.
Osbourn saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Britney Reyes, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with one run. Another was Maya Mira, who went 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
Freedom's record now sits at 6-7. As for Osbourn, they now have a losing record of 4-5.
Osbourn's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Freedom has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9 hits per game. It's a different story for Osbourn, though, as they've been averaging 10.4 hits. Given Freedom's sizable advantage in that area, Osbourn will need to find a way to close that gap.
Freedom took their victory against Osbourn in their previous meeting back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 18-2 score. Will Freedom repeat their success, or does Osbourn has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
