The Schaeffer Academy Lions lost against the Loyola Crusaders back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. Schaeffer Academy fell just short of the Crusaders by a score of 48-45.
Despite the loss, Schaeffer Academy saw an underclassman step up: Lillian Morrisey almost dropped a double-double on 24 points and nine rebounds. Morrisey is on a roll when it comes to blocks, as she's now posted three or more in the last five games she's played. Winona Morgan was another key contributor, scoring four points along with three steals.
Schaeffer Academy's loss dropped their record down to 7-11. As for Loyola, their victory bumped their record up to 9-10.
