After losing to the Everett Seagulls the last time they met, the Cedarcrest Red Wolves decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. In a tight game that could have gone either way, Cedarcrest made off with a 51-50 win over Everett.
Despite the loss, Everett still got an impressive performance from Isaiah White, who dropped a double-double on 26 points and 11 rebounds. White scored a full 52% of Everett's points, the fourth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ty Bloomfield, who scored eight points along with three steals.
Even though they lost, Everett were working as a unit and finished the game with 14 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.
Cedarcrest now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Everett, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cedarcrest will face off against Shorewood at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday. One thing working in Shorewood's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season. As for Everett, they will head out on the road to face off against Kamiak at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. Kamiak will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
