The Seaholm Maples's four-game losing streak came to an end on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 71-49 margin over Churchill. Seaholm's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Despite the defeat, Churchill saw an underclassman step up: Diego Cantu scored 13 points. Those 13 points set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Jayden Fergin, who scored seven points.
Seaholm's win bumped their record up to 2-5. As for Churchill, they bumped their record down to 0-5 with that loss, which was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season.
Seaholm will head out on the road to face off against Southfield Arts & Tech at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Southfield Arts & Tech is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak. Churchill will be home for the holidays to greet Wayne Memorial at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
