Several Hornets players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. That was a full 44% of Greenville's points, marking the 12th time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Coriyonna Brown, who scored ten points along with six rebounds and two blocks.
Yazoo City's victory bumped their record up to 15-12. As for Greenville, they have been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 11 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 12-12 record this season.
Yazoo City will be playing in front of their home fans against the Jaguars at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Holmes County Central's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last four contests. As for Greenville, they will head out on the road to challenge the Rams at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Gentry is on a three-game streak of home losses, the Hornets a five-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change.
