Aledo is a perfect 10-0 against Azle since March of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Bearcats will head out on the road to face off against the Hornets at 7:00 p.m. One thing working in Aledo's favor is that they have posted at least ten runs in their last five games.
On Wednesday, Aledo got the win against Granbury by a conclusive 12-2. The result was nothing new for the Bearcats, who have now won eight contests by six runs or more so far this season.
Lily Heckathorn tossed a big game, striking out nine batters over five innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 12 consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Aledo got a massive performance out of Delaney Rosser, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and one double. Those two stolen bases gave Rosser a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Kyleigh Pawlak, who went 1-for-2 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.
Aledo was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .316 or higher in four consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, Azle fell victim to Brewer and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They lost 10-0 to the Bears. The loss continues a trend for the Hornets in their meetings with the Bears: they've now lost three in a row.
Aledo has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-9 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Azle, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-12-1.
Everything went Aledo's way against Azle in their previous matchup back in April of 2025, as Aledo made off with a 13-0 win. Do the Bearcats have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Hornets turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
