Angel Manon Earns League's Top Spot
Starting off the list is Westlake Academy's Angel Manon, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Manon rushed for 90 yards and a touchdown on only eight carries, and also picked up 35 receiving yards.
The win (which was Westlake Academy's fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-4. Manon and Westlake Academy will face off against Fort Worth THESA at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Johnny Salmans and Co. Win Ninth in a Row
Texas Wind picked up their ninth consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Johnny Salmans. Salmans was unstoppable, rushing for 47 yards and two touchdowns, while also throwing for 35 yards and a touchdown.
Texas Wind pushed their record up to 9-0 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. Salmans will have a chance to log another big game when he takes on Austin Royals HomeSchool on Friday.

The second Westlake Academy player making an appearance here is Nicolas Sansone, and for good reason. He threw for 130 yards and a touchdown on only 12 passes.
