Ludlow couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They were given a punishing 0-39 defeat at the hands of Westfield.
Meanwhile, Monument Mountain/Mt. Everett gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener last week. They walked away with a 39-26 win.
Monument Mountain/Mt. Everett's victory lifted them to 1-0 while Ludlow's loss dropped them down to 0-1. We'll see if Monument Mountain/Mt. Everett's success rolls on or if Ludlow are able to steal their positive momentum.
