Football Recap: Hurricane Takes Down Highland in a Playoff Battle

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Hurricane had no problem doing just that on Friday. They really took it to the Highland Rams for the full four quarters, racking up a 43-7 win. The result was nothing new for the Tigers, who have now won four games by 27 points or more so far this season.

Hurricane didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Bradley Rose and Nathan Swapp.

The victory (which was Hurricane's third in a row) raised their record to 7-3. Those wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 12.7 points on average over those games. As for Highland, with the loss, they broke their seven-game winning streak and moved their record to 7-4.

Coming up, Hurricane will challenge Provo at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Tigers will need to watch out since the Bulldogs have now posted at least 31 points in their last three matchups. Highland does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
