The Liberty Leopards will head out on the road to square off against the Bristol Panthers at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. Liberty is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.
On Thursday, Liberty was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 36-32 to Brookfield.
Meanwhile, Bristol put the finishing touches on their fifth blowout victory of the season on Monday. They blew past Chalker, posting a 46-7 victory at home. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win Bristol has posted yet this season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Bristol to victory, but perhaps none more so than Briauna Klingensmith, who scored 11 points along with six steals. Klingensmith is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Lauren Church, who scored eight points along with seven rebounds and four steals.
Liberty's defeat dropped their record down to 1-13. As for Bristol, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a massive bump to their 7-7 record this season.
Everything came up roses for Liberty against Bristol when the teams last played back in January of 2022 as the team secured a 72-37 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Liberty since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
