It was a good run, but Sunnydale Academy unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Thursday. They fell just short of Mid-Missouri HomeSchool by a score of 34-31. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Sunnydale Academy has scored all season.
Mid-Missouri HomeSchool found their leader in underclassman Taylor Dorr, who scored 12 points along with seven rebounds and two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Rachel Robinson, who scored four points along with ten rebounds.
Sunnydale Academy's loss dropped their record down to 5-2. As for Mid-Missouri HomeSchool, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 14-9 record this season.
Sunnydale Academy will look to defend their home court on Sunday against the Mustangs at 3:00 p.m. Midland Adventist Academy's defense has only allowed 28 points per game this season, so the 's offense will have their work cut out for them. Mid-Missouri HomeSchool's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Knights at 6:00 p.m. on February 2nd.
