McKinley Tech has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will square off against the St. Anselm's Abbey Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. St. Anselm's Abbey took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on McKinley Tech, who comes in off a win.
Last Monday, McKinley Tech faced Dunbar in a battle between two of the state's top teams. McKinley Tech took down Dunbar 68-53.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead McKinley Tech to victory, but perhaps none more so than DaMontae Neclos, who scored 19 points along with three steals. Marcus Dunbar was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with six rebounds and three blocks.
Meanwhile, St. Anselm's Abbey pushed their score all the way to 62 on Monday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 71-62 hit to the loss column at the hands of Avalon.
McKinley Tech's victory bumped their record up to 12-8. As for St. Anselm's Abbey, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-13 record this season.
