Baseball Recap: Lee Christian Takes a Loss

After flying high against New Life Christian Academy last Thursday, Lee Christian came back down to earth. The Falcons took an 8-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Sandhills Classical Christian Lions on Friday.

Jordan Wilson put in work while hitting and pitching. He struck out eight batters over 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.

Wilson wasn't the only one making solid contact as two players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Patrick Grant, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Lee Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Sandhills Classical Christian, their record now sits at 2-3.

Coming up, Lee Christian will host Central Carolina Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The Falcons are facing the Eagles at the right time seeing as the Eagles are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Sandhills Classical Christian, they will venture away from home to face off against Antioch Christian Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
