With a playoff game on the line, the Hilton Head Christian Academy Eagles rose to the challenge on Friday. They came out on top against Pinewood Prep by a score of 42-30. 42 seems to be a good number for Hilton Head Christian Academy as the team scooped up a win with the same number of points in their previous game.
Dylan Clark continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 91 yards and three touchdowns, while also throwing for 253 yards and three touchdowns. Aj Houpt also helped out with an impressive 90 receiving yards.
On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Hilton Head Christian Academy's defense and their four sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Isaiah Anderson and Reid Mccollum who racked up four sacks between them.
Pinewood Prep's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Asa Windham, who threw for 136 yards and two touchdowns, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. Troy Dandridge was another key contributor, picking up 62 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
The victory was the tenth in a row for Hilton Head Christian Academy, bringing their record for this year to 11-2. They've been dominating during the matchups in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 29.8 points. As for Pinewood Prep, their loss dropped their record down to 8-4.
Hilton Head Christian Academy will take on Wilson Hall at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in South Carolina (Wilson Hall is ranked 97th, while Hilton Head Christian Academy is ranked 74th). Pinewood Prep does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
