Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only the Perkins Pirates walked away with it. They came out on top against Memorial by a score of 28-21 on Friday. The win was just business as usual for Perkins, who after 11 games remain undefeated this season.
Perkins got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Isaac Bunts out in front who rushed for 77 yards and a touchdown, and also caught a touchdown. Weston Sturzinger did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 88 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Perkins' win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-0. As for Memorial, their loss dropped their record down to 7-5.
Perkins will look to defend their home field on Friday against West Holmes at 7:00 p.m. West Holmes will be looking to extend their current eight-game winning streak. Memorial does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
