It was a good run, but the Neighborhood House Charter Legends unfortunately witnessed the end of their eight-game winning streak on Wednesday. They fell 87-76 to Roxbury Prep Charter. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their last game last Monday (75), Neighborhood House Charter still had to take the loss.
When it comes to explaining why Neighborhood House Charter lost, one person who can't be blamed is Tavon Rhodes. Despite the final result, he scored 32 points along with eight steals and six assists. Rhodes is absolutely dominating the point category: he's posted at least 15 every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Juelz Jackson, who scored 19 points along with two blocks.
Neighborhood House Charter's defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-4. As for Roxbury Prep Charter, their win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-2.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Neighborhood House Charter won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Mystic Valley Regional at 5:30 p.m. on January 25th. As for Roxbury Prep Charter, they will head out on the road to take on Neighborhood House Charter at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
